This spring will see the first Newmarket Mum & Baby Show! With two exhibition floors, a drop-in clinic with health visitors and breastfeeding support, a wide variety of workshops and demonstrations, free children’s entertainment, an on-site restaurant and ample free parking, it is set to be a great family day out! Many of the exhibitors are from Suffolk and Cambridgeshire so come along and support local businesses.
The show is being held to raise money for Bliss, the UK charity for babies born too soon, too small or too sick to cope on their own. One in eight babies in the UK is born premature or sick – that’s 82,000 babies every year. Around 20,000 of these babies need intensive care and the figure is rising. Every six minutes, a newborn baby requires urgent specialist care. Every 24 minutes, a newborn baby requires life-saving intensive care. Bliss is the only UK charity that helps care for premature and sick babies. They are dedicated to ensuring that more babies not only survive, but also go on to have the best possible quality of life. They support families, fund cutting-edge research and campaign for improved hospital resources.
The show will take place on Sunday 4th March at the Rowley Mile Conference Centre and will be open to the public from 11am until 4pm. Adult entry is £3.50 and under 16’s are free.
